Jupiter FL – February 6, 2018 – Wharton-Smith’s South Florida Water/Wastewater Division was recently selected to construct a new 3 MGD wastewater treatment plant located at the Seminole Tribe of Florida’s Hollywood Reservation. The new treatment plant will support residential and business growth on the reservation, including the $1.5 billion expansion of the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino which is currently underway.

Tampa, FL –– On January 19, 2018, Wharton-Smith’s Tampa-Water/Wastewater Division held a Topping Out Party to mark the completion of the first phase structural work on the Three Oaks Wastewater Treatment Plant Oxidation Ditch Improvements project. More than 70 people attended including representatives from Lee County, the Three Oaks Wastewater Plant and project engineers CDM Smith, as well as subcontractors, vendors and field workers.

Gulfport, MS – December 20, 2017 – Wharton-Smith, Inc. was recently selected as Construction Manager for the School District of Escambia County’s new $38 million Westside Elementary School project. Located on a 68-acre greenfield site in the Florida panhandle, the project involves mitigation of approximately 30 acres of jurisdictional wetlands. The 135,000 s.f. school will accommodate 801 students and will incorporate 21st Century Learning and sustainable features.
