Project Executive, Commercial


Bryan Bernardo joined Wharton-Smith as Project Executive, Commercial in March 2021. Bryan has over 30 years of commercial construction experience. He is committed to streamlining and optimizing the construction process through innovation, virtual design and construction, and Lean methodologies providing higher returns to Wharton-Smith and our stakeholders.
Before joining Wharton-Smith, Bryan recently worked in the Senior Living and Multi-Family sectors at Haydon Building Corporation in Phoenix, Arizona. Before that, he was Vice President for Kitchell, a construction management firm, where he developed the new Senior Living Sector.
As a Wharton-Smith Project Executive, Bryan will build relationships that build the Senior Living Market Sector. He will ensure projects in his sector are completed on time and to the client’s satisfaction. Bryan will outline project plans, set project goals and deadlines, and evaluate performance while providing problem-solving advice to project managers and superintendents. He will work closely with our Preconstruction Services Managers on bid packages, schedule, constructability reviews, value engineering, and site logistics.
In addition to his professional experience, Bryan has a Bachelor’s degree in Building Construction from the University of Florida. He is a Florida Certified General Contractor and a LEED Accredited Professional.
In his spare time, Bryan enjoys focusing on his family and raising his two sons. Bryan and his wife love to travel, scuba dive and broaden their palates by searching for the best local food wherever they go.
