Preconstruction / Estimating

During preconstruction, Wharton-Smith helps guide the design and construction process by working with owners, clients, design partners, and subconsultants to evaluate different cost containment strategies, construction materials, and methods. Our preconstruction teams are known throughout the industry for offering a value-added approach to the preconstruction process and for our ability to provide accurate pricing.

Preconstruction Services Engineer (Estimator)

Our estimators identify labor, material, and time requirements by studying proposals, blueprints, specifications and related documents. They perform and input quantity surveys as required, assist with bid day costing by evaluating subcontractor and vendor proposals, and update and maintain subcontractors and vendor bid solicitation databases.
