Construction Management (at Risk)

Although similar in many ways to the traditional general contracting delivery method, Construction Management (at Risk) often enables the contractor to have significant input during the design phase of the project. Working collaboratively with the design team and the owner, we can assist the owner in managing the overall planning, design, schedule, budget, and construction of the project. We operate under an open-book philosophy during the development of the GMP, delivering accurate updates on cost, value engineering, and schedule throughout the process.

“In just a few short years, Wharton-Smith is working towards its ninth Construction Management at Risk construction project with the City of Casselberry. The process has directly encouraged project managers, superintendents, engineers and Wharton-Smith to foster good relationships to work towards common goals of successful project completion. Our agencies come together to make sound decisions together and mutually benefit from successful project execution. We strongly value the relationship that we have developed with Wharton-Smith.” – Mark D. Gisclar, Public Works Director, City of Casselberry
