The new Center for Employee Health is a unique partnership between the School District of Osceola County and Florida Hospital to become the primary healthcare services provider for Osceola County Schools’ employees and their families. The new Center was created in response to the increased cost of healthcare over the last three years and is aimed at reducing costs.
Opening in April 2016, the new facility will offer primary care services, including urgent care, pediatrics, occupational medicine, preventive services, and physical therapy to more than 7,000 school district employees.
As construction manager for the project, Wharton-Smith is overseeing all aspects of construction. The project consists of a 15,456 square foot build-out of a pre-engineered metal building. It will be located at the Technical Education Center of the Osceola Campus and will sit adjacent to the Criminal Justice Training Center. The building will also house the offices for the School District of Osceola County Risk & Benefits Management Department.
