This four-bay, fully modernized firehouse houses Kissimmee’s largest battalion and is the city’s first green building, certified under the LEED program. The new station includes a drive-through apparatus bay, separated sleeping quarters, a recreation room, new workout room, full kitchen, administration offices, separate breakroom, and on-site training areas. It also features an instant carbon monoxide removal system and emergency medical services lab for teaching and training purposes. Site work for the project consisted of a new roadway, fencing, brick paver parking area, on site retention pond, landscaping and irrigation.
