Maitland City Hall

Leed Silver Certification Logo

Weatherproofed, energy efficient and durable for the next 50 years – that was the goal for the City of Maitland’s new city hall. Delivered design-build, the 24,000-square-foot construction uses concrete masonry units, insulated walls, an exterior weatherproofing membrane system, and energy efficient mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems. Adorned with high-end finishes, the grand complex features three levels of office space, seven conference rooms, a bullet resistant utility billing transaction window assembly, and state-of-the-art council chambers.

Work included demolition of the existing building, new parking lot paving, site clearing, underground utilities, concrete and brick hardscape salvaged from demolition, landscape and irrigation, and the protection and preservation of existing oak trees. The energy efficient design and green construction strategies contributed to the project achieving LEED Silver Certification.
