Ocean Enterprise Facility

Wharton-Smith’s Gulf Coast Commercial division is constructing the Ocean Enterprise Facility for Mississippi State Port Authority. This 62,509 s.f. project will be occupied by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), as well as the University of Southern Mississippi (USM). This building will be utilized by NOAA and USM to perform aquatic and marine research in the Gulf of Mexico. It will include multiple laboratory spaces with additional wet and dry labs and multiple classrooms. Our team is expected to complete this project in April of 2022.
