In the Roper YMCA Family Center, Wharton-Smith found a partner who shares our commitment to making the Central Florida community a better place to live. The YMCA believes everyone, regardless of age, income, or background should have “the opportunity to learn, grow, and thrive.”
Wharton-Smith provided preconstruction and construction management services for the addition and renovation of the existing facility. The 16,900-square-foot addition included new locker rooms, an indoor gym/basketball court and new soccer fields. The 12,000-square-foot renovation consisted of a complete makeover of the existing facilities including the lobby, offices, family and children’s locker rooms, daycare, two multi-purpose rooms, and the teen center.
