UCF Biological Sciences Addition and Renovation

Originally built in 1975, the Biological Sciences Building on the campus of the University of Central Florida supports the core biology curriculum and provides teaching classrooms and state-of-the-art laboratories for students, postdoctoral fellows, and visiting scientists. This multi-phased renovation and addition project provided upgrades to approximately 50,800 square feet of the four-story building, added a 53-065-square-foot annex, which included research space, classrooms and offices, and renovated an animal holding facility. The complex renovation project had to be accomplished while the entire Department of Biology still occupied the space and continued to teach classes.

“It was apparent to me and everyone else involved that your team took personal ownership in the project from day one. This project was very complex in nature, yet your team was able to meet all of our needs and exceed our expectations.” –Robert N. Gennaro, PhD, Professor Molecular and Microbiology and Associate Dean, University of Central Florida
