Sweetwater Wetlands Park Receives Outstanding Environmental Award

Sanford, FL – May 31, 2016 – The Sweetwater Wetlands Park project, noted as the most significant integrated water resources project in the City of Gainesville’s history, was recently recognized by the City’s Beautification Board as the 2016 recipient of its prestigious Outstanding Environmental Award.

The 264-acre park is part of an ambitious plan to improve water quality in the Alachua Sink and restore more than 1,300 acres of wetlands in the Paynes Prairie Preserve State Park. Wharton-Smith Celebrates Ribbon Cutting of Osceola County Schools’ Center for Employee Health

Sanford, FL – May 23, 2016 – It was a festive atmosphere as employees of Osceola County schools gathered together with their families, school board members, representatives of Florida Hospital, and Wharton-Smith last week to cut the ribbon and celebrate the grand opening of the Center for Employee Health. Built in partnership with Florida Hospital, the new 15,456-square-foot medical center provides primary care services, including urgent care, pediatrics, occupational medicine, preventive medicine, and physical therapy to the more than 7,000 school district employees and their families.
