Wharton-Smith Selected as Construction Manager for Seminole State College’s Building L Renovations

Sanford, FL – January 24, 2017 – Wharton-Smith, Inc. was recently selected as Construction Manager for the renovation of Building L 1st and 2nd Floors at Seminole State College. The project will modernize approximately 73,079 square feet of space of the 1970’s-era building including classrooms, computer labs, tutoring spaces, libraries, offices, conference rooms, MEP equipment areas, circulation paths, and support spaces. Infrastructure and site improvements will also be included as part of the project. Wharton-Smith renovated the building’s 3rd floor in 2011 making it the College’s first LEED® Gold building on campus.

Wharton-Smith Selected as Construction Manager for New Millennium Middle School

Sanford, FL – January 5, 2017 – Wharton-Smith, Inc., one of Central Florida’s largest locally based general contractors, was recently selected as Construction Manager for the Seminole County Public Schools’ new Millennium Middle School project. Located on State Road 46, just east of Sanford, and adjacent to Midway Elementary School, the new school campus will consist of 222,400 square feet and accommodate just over 2,000 students. Wharton-Smith Partners with Leadership Tampa to Help A Kid’s Place of Tampa Bay

Tampa, FL – January 4, 2017 – In late 2016, the Leadership Tampa class took on a community project at A Kid’s Place of Tampa Bay, a non-profit residential community serving foster children who have been removed from their homes due to abuse, neglect, or abandonment.
