Wharton-Smith is Helping Elevate Orlando

On Sept. 18, Wharton-Smith team members participated in discussions with middle and high school students about careers in construction for Elevate Orlando, a nonprofit on a mission to “build long-term, life-changing relationships with urban youth, equipping them to thrive and contribute to their community.” See more pictures.

Wharton-Smith Takes Flight at the ABC Expo

On Sept. 19, Wharton-Smith team members joined with other industry professionals for the annual Central Florida ABC Construction Expo. It is ABC’s largest event of the year and is a unique opportunity to showcase Wharton-Smith to hundreds of current and potential subcontractors and suppliers. See more pictures.

Shell Creek R.O. Water Treatment Plant Tops Out!

A feast from Mission BBQ, mementos, and a friendly game of cornhole headlined the Topping Out Party for Shell Creek Reverse Osmosis Water Treatment Plant on Sept. 13 — a $29.2 million project for the City of Punta Gorda. See more pictures.

Team members from the Tampa Water and Commercial Divisions, vendors, and City officials, including the mayor, joined in the milestone celebration.

Wharton-Smith breaks ground at South Tech Academy

On Sept. 10, the Southeast Florida Region – Commercial Division joined Palm Beach County School Board members, students, and staff to celebrate the groundbreaking of the new South Tech Academy in Boynton Beach. See more pictures.

Jim Kidd, Superintendent of South Tech Schools, opened the event by thanking Wharton-Smith for the tremendous effort that has been put into this project.
