Recently, Central Florida Commercial team members, subcontractors, vendors, and representatives from Orange County Public Schools celebrated the topping out of Site 113 High School. See more pictures.

As more than 400 workers gathered in front of the school’s gymnasium, they received a t-shirt emblazoned with the project motto, “Essential workers never stop, tomorrow depends on us.”

Project Executive Larry Sease opened the festivities saying, “Three months ago we erected our first tilt wall panel. Everything you see here — structural steel, concrete tilt-wall panels, all the interior rough in, roofing — has been installed within the last three months. That’s a remarkable feat! Kudos to our subcontractors, vendors and our workers. We couldn’t do it without you.”

The celebration included a boxed lunch from Bubbalou’s Bodacious Bar-B-Que and more than $2,000 in raffle prizes, including Yeti coolers and cups, Milwaukee and Dewalt tool sets and drill combos, an air compressor, and lots of gift cards.

About the project
This new relief high school will serve the Horizon West community. The 350,000-square-foot campus is being constructed on a 68-acre greenfield site and includes an auditorium, gymnasium, media center, cafeteria, administration, and three multi-story classroom buildings. Site amenities include a football stadium with associated field house, track, baseball, softball and soccer fields, basketball, and tennis courts. The $90+ million high school will accommodate nearly 3,000 students.
