PROJECT SPOTLIGHT | Tampa Bay Rays Renovations

In the last year Wharton-Smith has provided construction management at risk (CMAR) services on two projects for the Tampa Bay Rays, which included their Spring Training Facility and Clubhouse Renovations.

▪ Spring Training Facility: Approximately 4,800 s.f. was added to an existing building, along with 5,874 s.f. of additional renovations were completed to this Major League Fitness Center. The current batting cages were also converted from an open-air structure into an enclosed air-conditioned space, creating a player development area.

PROJECT SPOTLIGHT | Hollywood Wastewater Treatment Plant

As the general contractor, our Wharton-Smith team constructed the Hollywood Wastewater Treatment Plant (WTP) on behalf of the Seminole Tribe of Florida (STOF).

The project consisted of a new three MGD WTP and now supports residential and business growth on the STOF’s Hollywood Reservation. The scope of work on this three-phase project included, but was not limited to:

▪ Phase 1: Installed 4,000 linear feet of 24” force main
▪ Phase 2: Produced injection well pump station
▪ Phase 3: Established new plant
