Shane Smith, Wharton-Smith Project Engineer Technician and Seminole State College of Florida student joined a team competing at the annual Associated Schools of Construction (ASC) Design-Build Competition and won second place! The team created an RFP for a cold storage facility, including an estimate, design elements, schedule, site plan, and site utilization plan, followed by an in-person presentation.

​​​​​​​”This competition is one that I am proud of as the final mark of my Seminole State Career. With the arrangements made by Seminole State College and Wharton-Smith’s flexibility with my schedule, I was able to compete, bring home second place, and some prize money along the way.”
