On March 18, Paul Fulks, Project Executive, Commercial, spoke to the Civil Engineering students at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. This was originally scheduled as a class presentation, but when all classes went online due to COVID-19, Paul worked with the university to move to a video conferencing format.

Project Awarded – Orlando Commercial!

Wharton-Smith is proud to announce that our hardworking and dedicated Orlando Commercial team have been awarded the Volusia County Medical Examiners Facility project! 🏆

Rays Spring Training Renovations Project

In September 2019, the Southwest Commercial Division was awarded the Charlotte Sports Park’s – Rays Spring Training Renovations project. We are proud to say that this project was completed just last month!

Home to the Tampa Bay Rays, this project consisted of renovating the interior of an existing building that was originally constructed in 1987 for the Texas Rangers. In addition to the renovations, 5,000-square-feet were added to create a 10,000-square-foot fitness center which includes a weight room, conditioning area, locker room, equipment storage, and laundry facilities. Topping Out Celebration!

On March 5, more than 90 subcontractors along with representatives from Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College (MGCCC) and Eley Guild Hardy Architect, joined Wharton-Smith’s Gulf Coast Commercial Division to celebrate the topping out of the Fine & Performing Arts Center at MGCCC. Groundbreaking at Crest Lake Park

Recently, Wharton-Smith and the City of Clearwater Council broke ground on the renovation of Crest Lake Park.

Leroy Chin, Parks & Recreation Project Manager, said, “Wharton-Smith’s team has done a great job working with the designers to bring this project within budget. I know that once we begin work, your field staff will bring that same level of professionalism into the construction phase.”

Three events during the third week of January marked some pivotal moments at Pine Crest Elementary School in Sanford, Florida.
